Here are some previously asked questions answered by our Dubai veterinarians.

How old does my pet need to be before getting spayed or neutered?

Dogs and cats are usually spayed or neutered at 5 months of age.  Other pets are altered at the appropriate age that control behavior and reproductive capability for their kind.  We can neuter or spay many different types of pets right here at British Veterinary Hospital.

What kind of vaccines does my pet need and when do they need them?

Mammals typically begin vaccinations about 2 weeks after weaning. Other animals operate on different schedules for special needs vaccinations.  We will help you establish the vaccination types and schedule for your pet’s lifestyle. Dogs and cats have to be vaccinated in Dubai. Vaccinations from other Emirates or Countries are not always recognized. Vaccinations need to be done annually.
